V5.2.2 Nukes DLCs

Post by wa0rto »

Howdy,

I received V5.2.2 this evening. After the update, all DLCs, except US Pacific and Rising Sun, show as 'grayed out'. I can load a saved game, but can not start the game. When I try, I get the 'Locked Content' screen and an offer to take me to the product page. With the exception of Panzerkrieg, I have purchased all available DLCs.

Earlier today, before V5.2.2 was pushed, the game was working normally.

Is this a new problem with the this version?

Will I need to open a trouble ticket?

Any help will be appreciated.

Tnx,

Fred

I believe it's standard operating procedure for this changeover, as we discussed in this thread:

http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 64&t=80817

At one point, the instructions say "Reinstall all DLCs" including game keys. That's what I and others had to do.

I do not have my receipt for Morning Sun. Good thing I ordered a hard copy. So all my saved games are lost now?! Thank you for your time.

I cannot even install the games with disc or DLC download. Problem on your end then? Any date on a fix for this? Thank you for your time.

With 5.2.2, all my DLCs have disappeared, impossible to reinstall (Installation Successfull but not activated).
Impossible to use the Scenario Editor.

Terminator, just a thought, have you tried this?

http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 64&t=80817

I believe that after this the game auto patches to latest version (you have to let it run, it appears to crash they say), but on restart it has updated.

The reason I suggest this for you is because your issue seems to be with game keys, which indicates a registry legacy problem, so clearing and repairing the registry, which is part of this process, may help.

I believe you may have to reinstall the DLCs again afterwards, but not sure.

Good luck!

Reinstalling the campaigns means running the specific DLC-install, inserting the serial, hit enter and it is done.
There's no copying of files, the game just checks and validates the serial. Takes about 10 seconds.

as per guidlines

1. Please go to the Documents folder for the game (Default: Documents\My Games\Order of Battle – WW2) and delete the folder called “Settings”.

sorry to repeat and copy post, but have you done this from the link?

http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 64&t=80817

and followed it to the letter?
I am sorry for the issue and for the delay in fixing this, but this should now be fixed.
Provided you are looking for the 64-bit version and are not running a 32-bit version of Windows, please do the below:

1. Please go to the Documents folder for the game (Default: Documents\My Games\Order of Battle – WW2) and delete the folder called “Settings”.

2. Uninstall the both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the game and then go to the folder where the game was installed and ensure no files/folders remain

3. Download the file attached in this message "OoB_ClRegx64.zip".

4. Unzip the downloaded file and run the extracted file "OoB_ClRegx64.reg".

5. Allow the "program" to delete the Windows registry keys regarding the game.

6. Install 5.2.1 of the game from the link below and reinstall the game:
http://ftp.matrixgames.com/pub/OrderOfB ... v5.2.1.zip

7. Reinstall all DLCs

8. Run the game and ensure that all DLCs are showing as unlocked and the game is working.

If you need to download your DLCs you can do it from the member’s area. Please see the forum post below which explains how to do this:
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4290024

.
ATTACHMENTS
OoB_ClRegx64.zip
as by the time you get to 6, the game auto updates to 5.2.2 which fixes the issues of DLC's not working etc

Delete the Settings folder at "Documents/My Games/Order of Battle - WW2".
