"Failed to extract project file to memory"

I tried to run the latest update. I was notified that some files didn't update, and now when I try to open the game I get a "Failed to extract project file to memory" message box.

options are, either if the file has been downloaded manually and saved on the desktop, permission won't be given to unpack correctly, as it's needs a temp folder making, eg the error,

which just coping the file off the desktop will solve this,

or not run from a admin account etc, or even

something else has stopped or interfered with the action, like a AV anti virus program etc, or the game is still in memory etc, and is or has been just open.

not one error report fits all with that message tbh

if the file failed during install, only option is to re try the file, eg from the game or manually, as this is the desktop site version we are talking about, there is no way to verify if they game folder is now corrupt or not, so you may have to in the end, uninstall, make sure the game folder is clean, then reinstall and patch, this won't effect saves either, as there aren't part of the install or uninstall

I can't get to the pre-gameloading splash page, but if I choose Quickstart the game starts as normal.

I'll probably reinstall in case something's gone wrong.
