Problem opening game.

Field of Glory 2 has been running problem free until just now when it refused to open and displayed the message " Runtime Failed to extract project file to memory" Could this be to recent update? Any advice?

unlikely tbh, more like something else in the system been changed, check Anti Virus to see if anything has been logged in the logs, steam or stand alone / site version ?

Verify Integrity of Game Files for steam version...

site version, either try and run patch again, or reinstall and see if that fixes the error or missing file

Tried downloading again only to be told I had the latest update already. Tried to uninstall only to be told C:/ WINDOWS/Slitherine/Field of Glory !!/uninstall.exe Make sure you've typed the name correctly and try again. I did and it didn't work. At the moment I can get into the game by going to the "update" section when it tells me that I already have the latest update and then goes to the start menu. Any further suggestions?

Managed to create a short cut to the autorun.exe so it is working now, but still not as it should do....

seems you had a corrupt shortcut, but glad your sorted, and still the first who has mentioned it tbh, so sorry for your issue, if anyone else posts the same or if it can or could be replicated, we can or would fix it

Managed to redownload and update sucessfully after telling Avast to stop playing silly b.....rs. Thanks for your help amd sorry for taking your time as i know you must be busy.

no problem, that's what we are here for, glad you got it sorted, and did wonder what your anti virus was, as the name does tend to sound off alarm bells at times with some games, installs and updates, you can install as admin and or turn on game mode on some AV programs to stop them being so fussy with a given game, or not jump at everything when it's something you know should be 100% safe etc
