No pilot commander for shooting down spitfire in Dunkirk?

Post by Dmurphy238 »

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it because I already have a fighter pilot commander?

So, here's the situation and I am copying this to Tech Support because it is a bug of sorts.

The Dunkirk scenario does check to see if you already have unlocked Gerard Barkhorn back in Warsaw. This is the the objective and trigger about Barkhorn in Warsaw:

So in Dunkirk, there is a trigger that asks whether you already have Barkhorn unlocked. If so, it will activate the Spot Spitfire trigger. Note that it has the right commander name but the wrong picture; how that happened I have no idea:

The problem is, as you can see, Spot Spitfire trigger is already on from the beginning. In fact, the question about Barkhorn is supposed to turn OFF the Spot Spitfire trigger (the Enabled box should be cleared).

Instead the Spot Spitfire trigger comes on automatically, and it in turn activates the Destroy Spitfire trigger which will award you Gerard Barkhorn if you shoot down a Spitfire. The trouble is, Barkhorn is already activated and therefore the promise of an unlocked air commander goes unfulfilled even if you do shoot down the Spitfire.

I have a version of the scenario Dunkirk in which this trigger "Gerhard Barkhorn unlocked ?" does not appear, old version ?
It had not planned anything there as a replacement ? Another Commander ?

Yes, the incorrect commander picture is probably just a minor quirk in my game installation. The important problem is that the "Gerhard Barkhorn unlocked?" trigger should be shutting off the Spot Spitfire trigger if true; that is, if the player already has Barkhorn in the game.
