No generals
Generating a campaign, Roman's vs Gauls, but my army has no generals. Anything I have missed? Any way to cure this?

Re: No generals
There is a bug that could cause the generals not to deploy if, after the previous battle, your losses were so high that there weren't enough reinforcement points to do any more than (partially) refit your existing units, so the force selection phase was skipped.brucesim2003 wrote:Generating a campaign, Roman's vs Gauls, but my army has no generals. This will be corrected in the first patch.
If this does not fit the circumstances, can you tell me what the circumstances were?

1st battle of the campaign, hence, full strength army.

That is very strange.brucesim2003 wrote:1st battle of the campaign, hence, full strength army.
Note that generals are not added to the army until force selection is complete, also that if your army has no cavalry you should get only 1 general.
But assuming neither of those explanations apply, it must be an intermittent bug that escaped the eagle eyes of the beta testers. Can you give more details about your settings for the campaign, so that we can track down the bug and patch it?

D'oh! Now I feel like a gomer. I was deploying, having forgotten to hit the accept button from the force creation phase. Muchas muchas apologies.

Ah OK, cool. I was struggling to see how it would be possible.brucesim2003 wrote:D'oh! Now I feel like a gomer. I was deploying, having forgotten to hit the accept button from the force creation phase. Muchas muchas apologies.
