Big improvement IMO on FOG 1, for single player at least. Way more exciting, way more fun than FOG 1 (which I loved and played for several yearsbtw), & feels like you are in a real battle.

Thank you Slitherine and RBS, I''ll be playing this for awhile, and waiting for any/all new releases and addons.

You nailed it when you mentioned "It really feels like you are in a battle"...No more 30 second "Total War style" melees...Units often fight titanic duels over several rounds gving rise to real attachment to them. In one of my current MP games a desperate counter attack by two units of Thorakitoi on my Left has swung the battle my way despite it looking desperate....They will now be a feature in my battles for some time !
The more you play the more such stories emerge.
