Cannot buy game
Cannot buy game
I get error messages when I try to but the game; have tried on both Matrix and Slitherine sites.
Also, I deliberately unchecked the box to save my credit card info, and yet the credit card was saved anyway (as have two other cards I have used). That is not cool--I don't want any credit card info on your site.
I have bought lots of Matrix games, don't recall this problem before.

Contacting support is probably your best option support@slitherine.co.uk
You are correct that it should not save details when asked not to. Are you sure it isn't the browser doing so?
Cheers

Yes, of course I've contacted them. So far no response other than a ticket number.pipfromslitherine wrote:Contacting support is probably your best option support@slitherine.co.uk

Yes, I am sure it is not the browser saving the credit card info as you site has created a separate entry for it on your order page.

Re: Cannot buy game
I had the same problem yesterday. I checked with the bank this morning and they said the order never reached their system. I tried again this morning and it worked. Maybe the system was overloaded yesterday or just a glitch. Either way, I would recommend trying again today.
Re: Cannot buy game
Tried again today with multiple credit cards, multiple addresses. Same lack of results. If I didn't know better, I'd say I'd been personally blacklisted from buying this game.
Tech support is "working on it", had the amazingly weak proposal that I have a friend buy the game for me. Really, I can't buy the game in my own name? Amazing that it is this difficult to buy this game. I was really looking forward to a first day buy for this one, but this is a huge buzz-kill for this game.

Unfortunately your issue can only be fixed by Bluesnap. So probably you won't have your issue fixed before Sunday.76mm wrote:Tried again today with multiple credit cards, multiple addresses. Bluesnap operates from Israel, and tomorrow, is their holiday.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Re: Cannot buy game
I just tried to buy about five more times, this time I got a new error (every time): despite the fact that I entered the credit card number and the security code every time, every time I got an error message saying that I had not done so. Not once. Not twice. Not three times. Four or five times. Really, that the best Bluesnap can do? I've tried to buy the game about twenty times now, with no success. This is absolutely infuriating.
I hope for your sake that I'm the only person suffering through this process--I really want the game so have kept trying. For most games I'd have given up after the first several failed attempts.
And why is their default option to store my credit card info? After the bazillion publicized ID theft hacks, why on earth would I want them to store my credit card info to wait for the next hack?

In view of this difficulty, have you tried purchasing it from STEAM?76mm wrote:I just tried to buy about five more times, this time I got a new error (every time): despite the fact that I entered the credit card number and the security code every time, every time I got an error message saying that I had not done so. Richard, I have to admit that I didn't think of this option...I'm not a big fan of STEAM but would have tried if I'd thought of it. Doh!rbodleyscott wrote:In view of this difficulty, have you tried purchasing it from STEAM?
BUT I just tried again and the transaction finally went through--the difference was that this time, unlike all the other times, I left the box checked for them to retain my credit card info, which I absolutely don't want them to do. So the only way to buy the game is to leave yourself vulnerable to identity theft via hacking of BlueSnap's site? I'll mention this to the tech support people, this is seriously not right.
The next challenge will be downloading the game on my erratic internet connection.

Sorry for the hassles you have had. You can be sure we will be investigating why this happened during your transaction.

Re: Cannot buy game
I have never experienced any problems with purchasing games ( numerous ) from Slitherine or Matrix Games store page. Recently picked up FoG II this way & just thought I would share, for what it is worth.
