Pike and Shot in forest

Hello, could someone here break down for me the cumulative effect of a pike and shot unit in forest? They become slightly disordered, but gain benefits from cover. Would you take advantage of the cover for the lower order? Thanks!

i tend to avoid it with Pike units,usually only placing light infantry in.. disorder effect is the same as being disrupted, which reduces your shooting effectivity after all..
