Burma Road Chindits: Strategies

Post by euramer »

I have really enjoyed the campaign up to now, and managed to reach all secondary objectives, but with this "behind the lines" scenario I would like to have the opinion of some "veteran" on how to reach without enormous casualties the 2 bridges further from the exit (Zulu) plus the Japanese HQ (which obviously must be first localized).
I have started the scenario adding to the launch units, 3 Chindits (one is a *** upgraded Gurka) and one ***** Commando unit with its Chevrolet.
Up to now I didn't find a way to get this bridges without having to sacrifice more than 2 Chindits units on the way back: Any Clue?

Yes, this one is difficult and losses and sacrifices are hard to avoid. I remember struggling a lot. I think SAS with a chevrolet transport is already a good choice. Send one chindit north to camp near the exfil marker and meanwhile send SAS south for the Jap HQ (straight south) and some chindits southwest for the bridges. The SAS can hit the bridge, too after the HQ.
