Purcahsed a new 22" widescreen monitor

I purchased a 22" widescreen monitor and the game is not running in wide screen mode on it while on the older 17" LCD monitor I did not have any problem. Is there any solution to this problem?
The highest resolution is 1680 by 1050 using NVIDIA GForce 8600M GS graphics card.

LA has fixed resolutions. You can select from the options in game but there is no way to run widescreen so it will stretch the image.

I recently purchased the same size monitor and same video card, and initialy had problems getting a pleasant display. In the NVidea Control Panel, on the Change Flat Panel Scaling tab, try selecting "Use NVIDEA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio" under item (2), When using a resolution lower than my display's native resolution. this gives me a nice display on the new monitor, with small black bands either side.

One more example of why NVidia is the best, and ATI continues to be second-rate. Which is actually an improvement; ATI was a third-rate company before they bought out Diamond Multimedia...
