Some Moldavian questions

Post by fredrik »

I'm working up an initial order for a Stefan the Great period Moldavian army for use with the upcoming list from Eternal Empire. I'm a bit unsure of how the Boyar cavalry will be represented in the game though, a guess would be Cv/arm/sup/lancers? Biggest question is if there will be more than one type of Boyar cav - i.e. will I be able to mix armoured and unarmoured figures on the same bases for variety or should I separate them to help in identifying different types of Boyar units?

I would be most grateful if someone who has seen the list could help me with the following to help me calculating the number and types of figures I need to order:

1. Will it be possible to field more than one type of boyar cavalry at the same time?

2. What is the maximum number of boyar bases in the army?

3. I'm assuming the Moldies will get access to field fortifications - will I be able to field at least 12 bases of FF?

4. In DBM Rustici has the option of being upgraded from Hd (Mob?) to Ax (MF?) - will this hold also for FOG?

Any other help or insights on the moldavian list (without violating any copyrights naturally) would be most appreciated.

Cheers,
-Fredrik

Hi Fredrik,

I don't the answers to your questions but if the Moldavian army has both Armoured and Protected boyars, or Superior and Average boyars, it will be better to make BG with armoured miniatures and BG with less armoured ones.

Cause it's both a nightmare for the player and the opponent to remember which are Arm/Prot or Sup/Ave when BG are similars.
