Exeception Error when trying to load scenarios

Post by adomite »

I'm running the game on XP (SP3) on a Dell Inspiron 9300.

When trying to load a scenario (1941, for example), I'm getting an "exception" error message, stating it can't load the file because it was saved in a previous version of the game.

I uninstalled last night, reloaded the game (1.06b version) and then patched with the hotfix, and I'm still getting the same error.

Any thoughts?

This is probably not going to help, but here goes...

I have seen the game give a spurious error of this type when one just types in the body of the filename to load, without the .DATA extension

admoite, I am going to PM you a link to a new patch we are trying. Might help.
You must use the Slitherine version to try the new patch though since we have not mass produced it yet to other languages.
