Unseen Chinese units in editor?

I was taking a look at what units the nations have by looking at them in the editor and I spot china having units I don't believe are in the game.
Nationalist China has the M18 Hellcat and Sherman tanks. What scenarios do these units appear in? I never seen them during morning sun and China does not appear in any other campaign.

I think the devs normally create only the unit types that are needed in a new campaign.
So I consider these units a bonus for us scenario tinkerers

Actually, yes they do, briefly. At least in the beta version that I looked at, so far.

Ah hopefully this means late war chinese units will be added. Currently their infantry stops at the 39 version.

These Chinese "lend-lease" tanks have been added mostly for the Skirmish future, where each of the major nations needs to have a competitive unit roster from the entire period of 1939-1945. Newer infantry types will be added as well eventually.

Okay so these units appear in the bar at the bottom but are not acually place able. When placed they don't appear on the map. Will wait for Bruma campaign to see if they can be placed.

Speaking about that, is the skirmish mode still planned? Will it be possible to play against the AI, or just against a human player?

You can deploy units on the map in the editor even if the units are outside their availability 'date-range'.
They will function as other units in the game.

Its not working for me. I placed 3 shermans below but they don't appear. I think since you are using beta version you can place them
