Missing custom difficulty settings and freezes loading saved

Recently added Africa Korps and discovered there is no longer any custom difficulty tab. Figured it was unique to Afrika Corps but its missing on all others as well. I also just download GC 44 West, so I went to load the last saved game from 42-43 West so I could move on to the GC44 West and now everytime I try and load a saved game , the game opens but the window is black and it freezes, buttons on the side are visiable( end game button, next unit , buy unit etc) but the map screen is black.

This all started after I tried to install 44 West, it doesn't show as being available .

Thanks was downloading the update overnight and that seemed to clear it up, thanks for the quick response though.
