Based on my experience I recommend that you strongly consider running one or more of your cav BGs with six bases. Probably the lancers rather than the light spear, as that allows the LS guys to evade reasonably. Six base cav BGs are enormously more durable than four base BGs.

I used the Macedonans at Britcon last weekend. They did well. My comment s would be:

The 2 units of LF fine - 6 cretans and 6 agrianian. Your cretans should be 36 pts, not 30 because they're superior.

Only take 2 TCs. Alex as an IC plus 2 TC can generally cover things.

You've taken too many cavalry - you have 16 incl the Greek cavalry. Max in the list is 12. Although the companions look nice, I'd advice only going for 2 units - probably a unit of 4 companians and a unit of 4 greek cavalry.

Your hypaspists point don't look correct. I quite like taking the hypaspits as 8 MF with lt spear (72 pts).

The points saved from less cavalry and fewer TCs should be used to buy some MF. MF offesive spearmen or Thracians are quite useful.

My approach is to buy as many infantry as possible. At 800 pts you can build an army of 14 BG. While most troops are average, most tend to have good POA factors.

The army needs to be deployed fairly compactly occupying about half the table. The light troops then cover the remainder of the table.

The really difficult opponent to beat is skirmishing / shooty cavalry armies. You really need to get the initiative and then go for lots of terrain.
