Activating a downloaded version of GBoR

Post by jfabs »

I have entered the Serial number/Activation code correctly, I've even copied and pasted it directly from the e-mail I recieved and it still tells me I have an invalid serial/activation number. So what do I do now? How do I use the manual activation?

I think that the activation is supposed to happen automatically. But sometimes firewalls or other things can interfere and prevent proper activation. If you can send your details to info@slitherine.co.uk along with the hardware fingerprint displayed on the pop up menu asking for your serial number, we can get a code mailed out to you.

Please note that with Leipzig on at the moment, it might take longer than usual to get the code. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Cheers

What details should I include and what do you mean by "hardware fingerprint"? Sorry for asking what is a probably a stupid question.

And thank you for your help already.

I can't give you exact details I'm afraid, as I don't usually deal with these issues. I imagine it is a long code which you can copy and paste into the email. Send that, along with your order number and name and address. Note: don't post that information on the forum!

Cheers
