What DLC should I buy first?

Hi, I am a new player. Just curious, which DLC is a good fit for someone new to the series? Thanks.

The original DLC offerings were U.S. Pacific and Rising Sun. If there is any DLC which would be "a good fit for someone new to the series," it would be the first DLC offered in the series. The game has changed a bit and become more challenging over time, according to some players. Start with U.S. Pacific and Rising Sun.

I was thinking of starting with the US Marines DLC. Only because it is smaller scope, plus I have 10 bucks laying around at the moment. Later, I will get the US Pacific or Rising Sun. I may start with Morning sun though.

The US Marines Campaign is one of the most difficult. The easiest would be the Sino- Japanese war IMHO. But US Pacific Campaign is very fun and diverse too.

I think every campaign offers some difficult missions. Especially the first scenarios are always difficult if you haven't build-up a powerful tank and artillery army yet.
Marines and Morning Sun are good campaigns. Both shouldn’t benefit much from the upcoming naval-intensive Kriegsmarine DLC along the free base-game update, so you can already start with both of them without worries to miss something.
The first original US and JP Pacific campaigns offer plenty naval action, that’s why I would rather wait for the next update at first.

Thanks guys. I think I will start with US Pacific. Then wait for the upcoming update before playing. In the meantime, I will play through the tutorial missions.
