I am playing the Norweigan campaign and I am trying to use my supply ships. Some of them are working fine, others are not and I am out of supply.
Can someone please tell me how it works and where to place the ships?

So, assuming you are talking about the Norway campaign in the official Blitzkrieg campaign (see your other thread), look at the picture below.

Two units on the shore are supplied but the third is not. This is because the player's forces must control the hexes adjoining the shore hex next to the supply ship for all of the units in those hexes to be supplied. There is a gap of hex control between the units on the left and the one on the right, which is out of supply as shown by the red dot.

By the way, the paratrooper units that just landed inland are also technically out of supply. However, being paratroopers, they have their own supplies for, I believe, three turns. After that, they will suffer from lack of supplies unless they retreat, or the shore units advance, to join the their controlled hexes to the area supplied by the ship.

That's good. The other thing about supply ships is that they supply only a certain number of units per ship. If you have too many units ashore with not enough supply ships in support of them, you will see orange circles of under-supply in the unit counters. There are several remedies to that situation:

• *Bring in more supply ships, if available.
  *Move warships close to shore, if possible. They provide a smaller amount of supply but can be useful as temporary stopgaps. (Some ships cannot move into shallow water, however.)
  *Conquer nearby towns and other supply points to ease the shortage.
