OOB Blitzkrieg is multi-player PBEM?
OOB new Blitzkrieg is described on the site as single player and PBEM. Is this accurate, as why would you PBEM with yourself?
Re: OOB Blitzkrieg is multi-player PBEM?
You can play
1) a campaign as single player
2) a scenario as single player
3) a scenario as multiplayer hot-seat
4) a scenario as multiplayer PBEM using the server

Re: OOB Blitzkrieg is multi-player PBEM?
Just to be clear on "3) a scenario as multiplayer hot-seat", doesn't this describe just a subset of developer selected scenarios?
I have V2.9.9, all DLC's installed, and scenarios unlocked for the Morning Sun, US Pacific, and US Marines campaigns. The only multiplayer hot-seat scenarios I see are in the attached screenshot.
It appears to me the ability to switch sides (play a campaign or scenario as either force) is absent in this series. I'm having lots of fun and would love to be wrong about this- but I'm missing the chance to see how I do as the opp force. I looked at the multiplayer hot-seat scenarios for this functionality.

Switching sides essensially means there have to be two separate scenarios currently. There's no mechanism for switching player side.
It is not to difficut to convert a scenario to be playable from the other side, but it is a certain amount of work in the editor.

Re: OOB Blitzkrieg is multi-player PBEM?
Thanks for making that clear, and pointing towards what looks like a very robust editor.

The editor is fun and relatively easy to work with if you're interesting in making your own or creating variants of existing scenarios.
You can also get down to the nitty gritty using the scripting tools available. Lots of stuff interesting stuff there.
