Fighting in 2 Directions POA

Post by pcelella »

Just wanted to check something about fighting in two directions.

Suppose that I have an unit that has been contacted in the flank by light horse during the impact phase (so that they do not drop a cohesion level), but is also fighting a formed unit to the front. I know that the bases turned to fight the unit to the flank are at --POA durning the impact phase. Now during the following melee phase what happens - the bases fighting the enemy on the flank are obviously -1 POA for fighting enemies in two directions, but are the other bases fighting to the front also -1 POA for the same reason? Seems reasonable, but it is not quite clear to me if that is how it works.

Thanks

Peter

The - PoA applies when the BG is fighting in 2 directions and so applies to all bases in the BG fighting. One of the (few) cases where a PoA is applied by BG rather than by file.
