Editor: Assigning Alliance Teams

Post by Erik2 »

The discussion about garrison unit is interesting. I would like to test this in my '39 campaign using an AI-controlled German team (SS or Kriegsmarine) to spawn 5-strength 37' infantry units at captured objectives/towns/cities with local defense order and a suitable distance.
This should allow the Germans to blitz without suffering too many supply cut-offs.
But, the current Alliance Team assignment system means it is just too much work to retrofit this in a whole campaign.

Currently Alliance Teams teams need to be set up adjacent to each other (and of course with the same team number).
This means it is very tedious if you later want to add a team to the left-most alliance. You need to change the center alliance from an opponent to to an ally, create a new opponent and change all triggers using alliances.

I suggest that as long as alliances use the same team number, they are allied. It shouldn't matter whether the allies are adjacent or not.

Pretty please... :D
