Hi all!
In scenario description, there is information about what's required to achieve Decisive victory. Usually it's 'capture all objectives X turns before scenario limit' (sadly this information is not included in turns remaining tooltip...).
However, at least twice in the campaign I currently play I was awarded Decisive victory despite not meeting this limit (After first occurence I watched this carefully, and it happened again a few scenarios later). Why? Is there any other factor that changes said limit, without informing the player?
question: achieving decisive victory

The last turn counts as well. So lets say you have to finish 3 turns before the limit and the limit is 20 turns. It is enough to finish on turn 18 (turn 18, 19 an 20 remaining).

Re: question: achieving decisive victory
so, 'with 1 turn remaining', it would be enough to finish on last turn (as it still counts as remaining?...)
Anyway - I _think_ I was awarded a decisive victory later (22 turns limit, decisive required 8 turns before that, I won on turn 16), but am not absolutely sure of that. Will observe and write again if I can confirm this happening again.

You are told of the scenario limit. Where it says 'AXIS TURN 10 OF 23' at the top. It isn't very hard to realise this means you have 14 turns remaining (23-10 then +1).Zero1627 wrote: X turns before scenario limit' (sadly this information is not included in turns remaining tooltip...).
EDIT: I should add the +1 comes from it being the current turn.

No it isn't. But it IS hard to calculate from these numbers that this means You have, say, 5 turns for decisive victory (23-10+1 and then -9 - said -9 coming from separate sub-screen, where it's buried into a paragraph of text...)BiteNibbleChomp wrote: Where it says 'AXIS TURN 10 OF 23' at the top. EDIT: Panzer General DID include this information right near the message You quote

Edit 2: AXIS TURN 10 OF 23(15) - now THAT would be what I want

Re: question: achieving decisive victory
thx braccada - calculations are now clear
Still would like that info in clearly visible place (tooltip would do), not subscreen (Slitherine: hint!)...
EDIT: I just saw that this info is indeed shown on loading screen, as turn begins... still, during the turn it's not!
