Some bugs issues on DOM ! thx

Hi, playing GERMAN againt computer AI in main campaign, these problems/bugs appeared !
1 :
with 3 armor moved from Shostka (rigth low part of map) to Novsloboda, batled an Rus INF, detsroyed it, and could only exploit after combat on : Orlovka/Sevsk/Kromy/Lgov and not Kursk !? this was possibile in last shenandoah version, and rules sjould permit it.

2 :
same situation, armor staks destroys Rus Inf in Sukhinichi (adjacent to Kaluga), then was able to exploit in Forest zone Kvastovichi, this is not normaly possible as no road leads to it ...

3 :
Russian IA was able to restore lost pips even if no suply was available ... this happend when the Russian was in suply on begining of turn, but with first to go move german units take suply away, then Russian units are still capable to restore lost pips ... this was not possibile with old version ... You can replace only if you trace suplly in the actually action of replacement, not because you where in suply in begining of turn.

4 :
something that was posibile in BotB and DoM old shenandoah version is that armors/vehiculs where able to move 2 zones doing one zone and go back to there original start zone, just to occupy zone .. for example from Kaluga zone, go to Maloyaroslavets zone and then go back to Kaluga.

Hi, Tigre.

1. So, you want to breakthrough from Shostka to Lgov, that is a distance of two spaces. The only way you can breakthrough two spaces is by using Axis Deep Penetration rule, found in 7.5.2 section of the game rules. One of the condition that needs to be true in order for this to happen is:
The entire advance must follow a road, a railroad, or a combination of the two.
Since Shostka -> Novsloboda connection is neither a road, nor a railroad, this rule will not apply. I also played the exact same move in the old shenandoah version, and it is not possible.

2. You are right indeed, Khvastovichi should be marked as a forest tile. We fixed this now!

3. As this is not such an easy fix as the last one, I will add it in our list and see what we can do about it. The fix will be added in one of the next updates.

4. This thing should be possible in this version of the game as well. I am doing it right now and it works for me.

Hi Manthril,

for point
1) actually the combat took place in novslboda, and I wanted to move along rail up to kursk as alowed by the rule, but kursk was not available !! thx :)

for the rest I'll continue playing and letting you know wha I see wrong !

All right, Tigre. Thanks a lot for all your feedback. You seem to know the rules better than even we do and you caught some tricky differences between the manual and the actual game.

Indeed, if the combat took place in Novsloboda, it should let you breakthrough to Kursk. This issue will not be fixed in the next update, as we have already built the game and this process takes quite a lot of time, but I will make sure it gets fixed in the near future.

ok,
but then it's only kursk that has this problem or other city's have the same problem ?
like for exemple if armored german stak destroys russian inf in TIM zone, in frost season, they will be able to exploit on Voronezh ? some other city's/victory points are also involved ...

The rule states that an Axis armor can breakthrough two spaces if the first space does not have an enemy within in. What we implemented was that an Axis armor can breakthrough two spaces if both spaces had no enemy within in. So the rule was broken not only for Kursk, but for any breakthrough in tiles with this situation.

Small coding mistake, but important enough. You should see it work fine in the next build.

Ok understood,
this is a big disavantge for german player as he relies a lot on these breakthrough !
hope you'll wait for the corection update before organising tourny on DoM :)

Yes, we still have things that need to be taken care of before running our first DoM tournament.
