Why do we get it so late in the campaign?

afaik, it flew and fought over France in August/September 1941.

That's a good question. We should be able to get them earlier...

I guess because the Fw 190 was not used in the east until September 1942. And in the original stock campaign there are no scenarios in the west apart from the hypothetical Sealion 42 before that time. Also it is correct for those playing the Grand Campaign East. However, not so good for the Grand Campaign West as it should be there indeed. It played a vital role at the Dieppe landings.

i think they should release a patch and make it available, and give us more upgrade path for it, especially the fw190A-8 (most produced version)

Better solution would be to re balance the maps and give you unit.
