Which list for anglo-saxons ?

Hi Guys,

I intend to do a matched set of armies, for arthurian england, circa 500ad. This is mainly due to the cornwell books and splintered lights minis. The list from the imperial roman book includes an anglo-saxon list for up to 500ad, mainly heavy foot, impact troops. I will have to wait until "wolves" comes out next year to get the british list, but would the list from the roman book cover arthurs enemies best, or would the middle saxon list be more appropriate ? The books are set at 500ad, and so are at the threshhold of the two lists ? I ask because I assume that the impact foot will turn into spearmen with the middle saxon list and I dont want a bunch of guys waving axes if they should have spears.

I am re-reading those books now, and was thinking of doing the same thing, I'll be watching this thread.

David of Splintered Light is a big Cornwell fan and has been trying to find out such information as well.

Did you know that he makes castings of the main characters and the Wolf Tails?

I loaned him The Last Kingdom on CD for the drive up to Historicon.
