International rankings - request for tournament results

Post by hammy »

I will shortly be looking to try to produce some sort of international rankings. In order to do this I need tournament results.

I was initially going to use the ones from the hall of honour but having checked there it would appear that by no means all results have been submitted there.

Ideally it would be good to have all the results in the hall of honour with who played who etc. If we only get placings that would be OK but the who played who makes things more useful long term.

If you have tournament results can you send them to me hammy@the-riverbank.net and/or the Slitherine webmaster andrea@slitherine.co.uk

Ok, I will expose my newbieness to the forum (again). Where is this Hall of Honor you made reference to? Do you need to register a tournament in order for participants to get credit for ranking? I saw the ladder link but it appeared to be a closed list. My club is running a small tournament on August 2.

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

Go to the main FoG web page: http://fieldofglory.com/ and click on the link entitled "On the Field of Glory". The "Hall of Honour" link is the sixth one from the top of that page. To have your tournament results posted, I believe that you simply need to fill out a copy of the official scoresheet (ninth link from the top of the same page), and submit the completed scoresheet to the Slitherine webmaster: andrea@slitherine.co.uk .

Cheers,
Scott

Thanks Scott. I must say I am very pleasantly suprised at the level of openess and friendly attitudes in the FoG players and communities I have encountered so far. I haven't experienced any of the snobbery that I have seen in other ancients gaming communities (which shall remain nameless  ) where you get treated like an idiot if you can't identify every ancients figure ever produced in bare metal and have less than an encyclopedic knowlege of the entire period across the spectrum covered by the army lists.

Hammy:

I just sent you the detailed results from Historicon via email. If you don't get them (or have some trouble) let me know.
