What should be the next DLC for Order of Battle?

Order of Battle is a series of operational WW2 games starting with the Pacific War and then on to Europe!

What should be the next DLC for Order of Battle?

Post by AlbertoC »

Wargamer.fr is running a nice poll: what would you like as subject for the next Order of Battle campaign?

The latest DLC for Order of Battle: World War II was set in Finland and it covered the Winter War. Should Order of Battle continue to cover Europe, or should it go back to its Pacific roots?

Cast your vote on the site please, and feel free to discuss here!

Definitely the Spanish Civil War 36-39. It is ideal to transfer into OoB's reality in the formula of 10-12 scenarios. Most of equipment would be ready from Winter War and Morning Sun.
I would suggest that the story based on the struggles of the Legion Condor.
For me, the best would be DLC like this: Naval War on the Mediterranean Sea 40-43. It would be very interesting.

I like the results of the poll so far and the overall preferences expressed therein. As I once mentioned, I'm pretty sure there will be a Blitzkrieg campaign (covering the first years of WWII until the fall of France) and I'm hoping for the Spanish Civil War to be covered at some point.

You can of course do the same old things done many times before.

What I liked best about Winter War was it had not been done many times before.

I have not seen much on this:
From Wikipedia:
The Balkan Campaign of World War II began with the Italian invasion of Greece on 28 October 1940. In the early months of 1941, Italy's offensive had stalled and a Greek counter-offensive pushed into Albania. Germany sought, by deploying troops to Romania and Bulgaria, to aid Italy by attacking Greece from the east; while the British landed troops and aircraft to shore up Greek defences. A coup d'état in Yugoslavia on 27 March caused Hitler to order the conquest of that country.
I like the Spanish Civil War Idea.

I like Anzio or the Italian Campaign.

Though it has been done a lot - Largest Tank Battle of WW2 - Kursk.

Earle

A bit off topic, but I plan to do large multi/single player scenarios on Crete, Malta and Norway/Denmark.
I've researched these to death (creating scenarios for other systems), so the OOB and maps are ready. I just need the relevant unit types, maybe some new terrain.

I voted for Spanish Civil War, Blitzkrieg, North Africa. I think it makes sense to start with early war campaigns unit-wise and build from there.

Spanish Civil War has my vote as well.
After that Fall Weiß, Weserübung, Fall Gelb, Balkans.

I'd like to see an Italian campaign as well, Ethiopia then North Africa, and then Greece.
