Campaign resource points question

Hi all,
New here. Been playing OOB for a month or so and having fun. My question: I understand that unused resource points are transferred over to the next mission in a campaign, but what about the points you would have received for unused turns? For example, if I receive 20 points per turn, but I complete the mission 5 turns early, what happens to those 100 points? Are they included in my starting points next mission? Are they gone? Shouldn't there be a bonus (like say 150%) to incentivize finishing early? Any help is appreciated.

There's no bonus, but the points for unused turns get transferred.
