Newbie wld like guidance

Post by MrDave »

Hi.
I just started playing PC. I've played through the tut. on normal. I started the Early Campaigns and have managed decisive vics in first two scenarios. Is a decisive vic possible with the Low Country scenario. I've managed a marginal all the while learning how to use combined arms.
Thanks for the assist.

Im Dutch... so with some remorse i must say - yes its possible... but i havent got the details ready just how. But like someone else on the forum already mentioned: pc is easy to play but difficult to master. Id say: just continue playing and learn along the way. With experience in duevtime you may discover how to get dvs. But in the end its not all about getting dvs in pc - in my humble opinion ;-).

In most of PanzerCorps the difference between MV and DV is not that great. Sometimes a comfortable MV is a better option than a DV with heavy damage and loss of experienced units. However, there are some cases where a DV allows you a bonus scenario or a choice of which route you choose. If you look in the Library you can see the campaign path and keep an eye out for these.

There's nothing wrong with aiming for MV but looking for the opportunity to get a DV, especially in scenarios where the weather is unfavourable - Vyazma is a classic one where you expect nothing but rain and mud which makes MV the realistic choice. But occasionally you will get relatively good weather so you should be prepared to get DV if the opportunity presents itself.

The big bonus of this approach is it encourages you to read the briefing and understand the mission requirements, which can make life much easier. Whatever approach you take, having fun and meeting your own personal objectives is the most important thing.
