Your Biblical figures displayed in Field of Glory

Post by paulrobinson »

Your figures displayed in Field of Glory
July 8th 2008

Once more we are asking whether you would like to see your figures depicted in a future Army Lists Companion book of Field of Glory? Several people who have responded to previous requests will be seeing their figures in upcoming List Companions! :!:

We are looking for some top quality paint jobs to include in Swifter than Eagles : The Biblical Middle East at War

The composition can be single figures or groups, or if you are feeling a bit more ambitious you might try a complete battle scene, but this would need a backdrop and very good terrain.

You will also have to be able to supply photography to print standard of at least 300DPI. Really all this means is that you need to set your camera to a fine or high setting, and the pictures should be taken in natural day light.

Contact jdm@slitherine.co.uk if you are interested.

We are looking for images of the following armies.

Sumerians/Akkadians

Hyksos

Mitanni

Chariots for Syro Canannite, New Kingdom Egyptian & Hittite Empire

Assyrians of all types (Middle, Early Neo Assyrian, Neo Assyrian Empire)

Philistine (anyone have a Goliath personality figure?)

Neo Hittites

Later Hebrews

Libyan Egyptians

Medians

Neo Elamites

Cimmerian/Early Skythian

Kushite Egyptian

Neo Babylonian

We are especially keen to receive pictures of Chariots for the relevant armies!

Good question. However, this one seems rather apt to me. It's from a biblical quote.

Lamentations 4:19

"Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the sky; They chased us on the mountains, They waited in ambush for us in the wilderness."

I have some generic "blokes in white skirts with sharp sticks" that can (and have) served in all of these armies for me - any good?

Well we already have plenty of decent pictures of Nubian Warriors. I only posted photos of those subjects we are short of!

Still time to send in some pictures of Ugartic/SyroCanaaties? Mine are in 15mm but are nicely done IISSMS.
Even included reigns on the Chariots.

Hi
How about giving those people who have got or will get their pictures accepted a free copy of the list book they are in.

Paul

I have a very nice looking 28mm NKE army that might be worth a look next time you are around. Laid out in some sand it would look rather good.

Jez - sounds good can you send some examples to JDs e-mail address, especially the Sumerians!! Porbably miss out the stargate :-))))) SG1 can deal with that!!!

daleivan - Other armies in swifter than eagles, well the orginal announcement gave most of them. I'll double check when we can give the full lsit!

Shall - get taking some photos, especially the Chariots

expendablecinc - I have had a look and I think we might be able to use some of the figures in your gallery :)
