Order of Battle 2.4.0 Patch is out!

Order of Battle fans, we have some news for you!
We are releasing a new patch for Order of Battle: Pacific. The 2.4.0 patch, previously on beta, goes now live. This update fixes some issues from US Marines and also has a fix for the recent issues where AI turns would take a very long time in some circumstances.

If you own the game on Slitherine, you can download the patch here.
If you own the Mac version of the game on Slitherine, you can download the patch here.

Here is the changelog:

- Changes to AI systems to reduce AI turn times
- Rail move marker display a train icon again
- Fix for embarking to an adjacent port hex
- Fix for Tulagi M2A4 tank award sometimes not triggering
- Fixed Munda secondary objective text, stating that aircraft damage must be against ground targets
- Fixed discrepancy between Peleliu primary objective text and actual condition.
- Fixed Nanchang AI freeze related to off-map AI unit.
- Fix for Strategic Map related bug in 2D Tactical Map display mode
- Fix for Ambushes not activating in certain conditions

^^ what they said. It is very refreshing to see a developer that still carries patches for its games on their own servers, independent of content publishers like Steam or Gog. makes things sooo much more efficient for the end user!

FWIW, the AI is now dramatically faster in its turn.

does this work for the "US Marines" version, because while the beta patch installed fine, this one does not seem to recognize my installation?

Try reinstalling the Marines. It should just unlock the content since you've already got a newer version of the main game.

I uninstalled the battle of britain version I had, then installed US Marines version. Then I installed the beta patch (for AI behavior), then tried this patch. this patch says it does not recognize the game as installed.

I'll try reinstalling tomorrow.

Couple of questions, please. I now have V2.4 which is much faster, a big improvement. How do you find and use the new feature of a unit patrolling between two locations? Secondly I have completed the Marines Campaign but cannot find the seperate scenarios.In fact i cannot find any reference to the Marines Campaign even in the main Slitherine files yet it all worked perfectly.

A further point, I think there may be a glitch in the 2.4 Editor. The Naval Supply icons are not appearing or are blank on many of the core ships and cannot be changed by the overall supply command in the star mode. There are also a few icon blanks on open sea hexes. Not sure if they have any effect as all the icons appear correct when running the scenarios after saving in 2.4. The scenarios in question were all created with earlier versions.

I'm sorry but the issue is not in our side. Usually this is caused by one of your Internet security programs which is interfering with the game update feature.

Thx so much for this patch, I didn't have real issues with the game before this patch but now I notice that the AI speed is indeed very much improved!

These patches are just for the non Styeam version. By default, the Steam version automatically updates the game.
