Building Leaders Before a Country is at War?
For example, USA & USSR. It appears that I can build a leader for either of these countries before they're at war. However, it does not appear that I can deploy that leader until at war. Is this correct?

Yes, thats right. You can deploy units but not commanders as long as the nation is not at war.
Have had the same problem. I had build a US-commander some turns before USA joined the war. While the commander stood at first position in deployment list the British and Russian units standing at the following positiosn could not be deploid either. Had to wait til USA joined the Allies.
So, just a question at the developper: Is there a key to jump to next position in deployment list? Couldnt find one.

In v1.06, and back (can't remember when), you can click the unit ready for deployment and that moves it to the end of the queue. So even though you can't deploy leaders (I guess) until a country's at war you should be able to deploy your other builds. I did that in a previous game I was playing for the same reason. I had built a Russian leader before the USSR was at war; however, I was able to deploy their other builds. I just couldn't assign the leader to a unit.Firefly wrote:Yes, thats right. Check your version (in the bottom right corner when you start the game). If it's v1.06 then you should be able to open your build screen and click on a unit that's ready for deployment. That should move it to the end of your queue and allow you to place other units ready for deployment. Don't click on them, use the deployment four point arrow to place them. If you have an earlier version then that version may not allow this.Dragonflame wrote:Does that really work? I tried everything to change the queue, it did not work. (Not sure though if it was 1.06 or still 1.04)

Righ-click on a unit in the deployment screen moves it to the end of the queue too, and it has been so from 1.04 I think, so whichever of the two patches you have installed it does not matter.rkr1958 wrote:Check your version (in the bottom right corner when you start the game).
