Hi guys,
Do you use the automatic Planet Economic Management? Or do you use the manual planet management?
If you do a manual planet management, do you have a starting build queue that works well?
Thanks

Re: Best Planet starting build queue?
Automatic planet management works pretty effecient, no need to micromanage. I do however specify what resources to mine first at mining colony's often. Another exception i make is with research planets because of orbitals, i usually don't have too many research planets to micromanage so it's not too much of a hassle. The problem with research planets is that they will do away with all factory's in favour of more research centers but once you can build orbitals it would take such a planet more than a 100 years to build one withought any factory's so if i want to have research orbitals i need to micromanage my research planets.
And last there is production planets which i often micromanage depend on needs for poppulation (given orbital shipyards need 10K peeps) and needs for getting ships online or adding some mining tt prioritize early on.

For non-ocean\earth planets with production slots <15 I order mines first and set governor to Agricultural (even before getting the hydroponics tech).
For ocean\earth planets: Initiatives Extra-bonus project, Augmented Work Day, order 3 factories. Disable initiatives upon finishing. Order one orbital shipyard. Turn on auto governor if you want after that.
If you want to exploit, you can go full micro on earth planets - finish building first 3 factories, order max number of factories, order max number of Orbital Shipyards, remove factories from the build queue. You can destroy remaining 3 factories once you got 2-3 shipyards ready. Can do the same with research, but you need 5 Research Centers instead of 3.

Is the Orbital shipyards production is only one used for building ships?
Thanks for the comments so far guys.

By default you can not get orbital shipyards without factories. The orbital shipyards build and repair ships, satellites, stations, fighters. Remember, they repair if the planet is not building other units.
