Corp force from 43 East to 44 West?

Has anyone figured out a way to mod the game so you can import your core force from 43 East to 44 West? Personally I think it is ridiculous that that you are trapped in the Eastern campaign from '42 onward. The Germans routinely moved units from East to West throughout the last years of the war. Your battle hardened force from the '43 East campaign would be the exact sort of force they would move into France to oppose the western allies. Anyone figure it out?

They've locked this option in the game, and did it for a reason.
In 42-43 western campaign prestige is annoyingly scarce. Besides, just when the campaign starts they take away 3/4 of your 1941 core and almost all prestige. Taking into account imminent upgrade of remaining core to panthers and FW190s, that make the campaign much more challenging, compared to contemporary East campaigns, and resulting core way weaker than the guys from Eastern front. Western scenarios are adjusted for that weakened core, and, IMHO, asking for import of the eastern core '43 is something akin to asking for Star destroyer and a couple of Tie Fighters - maybe possible, but what's a point?

It can be done by finding the text strings the game uses to recognise each campaign. Each GC year has a "receive core from xxxxxxxxx" written into its structure as well. All that you would need to do (I think) is change the "receive from 43 West" to "receive from 43 East" by modifying the text string opener.

I've never tried it though, but someone like nikivdd should be able to help more

This tweak to the campaign file, should allow a DLC 43E core army to be imported in DLC 44W

Installation:
Back-up the original campaign.pzdat file from the \DLC\DLC44West folder
Extract the campaign.rar file and overwrite

Note: in order to use a core army from DLC 42-43W again, you must use the backed-up campaign.pzdat file and overwrite the tweaked version.
