Problem with community scenarios in Steam

Post by Philippeatbay »

I visited the community scenarios tab for the first time last night and downloaded a couple of campaigns.

I'm afraid I'm used to Pike & Shot, where you download scenarios to see what they're about and then delete them if you don't happen to want to play them at the moment.

I downloaded the single player Cambrai 1917 campaign and air assault on Crete (it might be called Melita-Merkur or something like that). They looked like fun, but it was late at night so I deleted them because I didn't want to play them.

After I did that, there were two red unidentifed (blank) campaigns on my campaign list, and those two campaigns had dissapeared from the list of single player campaigns and scenarios .

I closed the program, but when I fired it up again they were still gone.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Battle Academy, but that didn't help. I even used an uninstalling program which scans the registry for traces. No joy.

I have not tried flushing cookies from my browser yet, and I will try that when I'm done writing this, but I don't think it will help.

All of this happened with the Steam version of Battle Academy, so the problem may be that the partial delete instruction is stuck somewhere in the cloud and I don't remember how to get at it to reverse it.

I have not tried installing the non-steam version of Battle Academy, and I am assuming (or at least hoping) that if worse comes to worst I can play those scenarios via that route.

In the meantime, how can I get those two scenarios to appear on my list of downloadable community scenarios in Steam?

If there is no way to get them to reappear, is there a link somewhere that would allow me to download and install them manually?

Go to: Documents\My Games\BBCBA\CAMPAIGNS then delete the folders TIM1966_CAMBRAI and LMCRETE3 then re download them as they should appear again.

I think the delete button in Battle Academy doesn't work properly.

Hopefully this should work.

Thanks very much because that did the trick.

I always forget to look for surviving files lurking in the documents folder.
