Problem with updater

I just bought OOB:Pacific from Slitherine and immediately activated my Steam key.

Then I installed the non-Steam version. Once it was installed I tried to update the installation. The update took about half an hour, and at the very end there was an error. I tried this several times and always got the error.

I was usually able to get the game to run, but the last time it just hung on a black screen.

Just to be sure I understood what was going on, I installed the Steam version. Only a few minutes start to finish, and I had no problems running it.

I shudder to think what my mood would be if the game hadn't come with a Steam key.

Something is wrong with the updater. Please do the needful.

I've just tested now and the download is speed is normal. (please check the screenshot attached)

It could be something related with your Internet security programs or just something in the connection between your router - your ISP - our ftp server.

Anyway, you can always update manually from one of these mirrors:

I downloaded the patch and everything is working now.

The speed issues probably have more to do with what time of day you access the server. The American mirror when the U.S. is awake runs very slowly.

But I still think your ftp server is rather wonky.

If you see in my screenshot it was 13 minutes after you having posting the issue in the forum.
Anyway, if you ever experience any issue with the update with any of our games, we always have the http links available for manually download.
