Feeding Chariots/Knights into combat ?

Feeding Chariots/Knights into combat ?

Looking at the above diagram

I have 4 British Light Chariots facing down the page.
They are in melee with 4 Early German Cavalry.

As you can see I have one Chariot on the left ,hanging out there on it's own not fighting.

According to the rules on page 73 I can't feed it into combat ?
I can't contract as the chariot being put into the rear rank , won't add to the combat.

So can I sling it around to the other overlap ?

If it is your turn, yes. See P.73 2nd round bullet.

OK thanks , so yes I can swing them over to the other side :)

I dunno how I missed that point , I just went straight to the 3 point...
