There are a fair number of players in the Bay Area. In the south bay There are regular games at GameKastle in Santa Clara and South Bay Game Club (which has a Yahoo group), as well as other groups farther north.

Willb I'm out near Concord and am looking for a couple of regular opponents. What scale are you using for FOG?

I'm currently painting a 15mm Caesarian Roman force. I have access to 15mm Early Germans and Carthaginians. On the to build list are Sassanids and Huns.

joekool,
i use 6mm on 15mm bases and can provide several different armies. having seen photos from tournaments where 6, 10, and 15mm armies were competing against each other in dbx i am willing to play any scale on the same base frontage. i am in livermore and can be contacted at butlerw (at) comcast (dot) net
regards,
bill

Sorry I missed this for response.

So far it is just 15mm at GameKastle - there is table space for 25s and some players do have 25mm armies but 15mm is the common denominator everyone has.

The schedule is pretty much games on several tables every other Saturday (e.g., 15 Nov/29th of November) at opening at 11AM. The place closes late at night, and they have terrain carpets available for the tables although their terrain feature pieces while nice are not well suited to FoG so terrain should be brought.

There are also usually one and sometimes two games each Wednesday starting mid or late afternoon.

4 of the players drove down to the tournament in LA and all did well.

GameKastle is located close to the SJ airport and right across from Costco if you need gas and shopping, and there are other local amenities for the famished.

Hello SF Bay Area gamers

Post by ShadowbendStudios »

Hi everyone; I just came across this thread as I was searching for possible regular players. I am also in the east bay, Pleasant Hill to be exact. Would be interested in possibly meeting up with some of you for a coffee to talk about gaming and see if we could work out a regular playing schedule.

Take care,

PLeasant Hill and Concord are close to each other.

San Jose has a good sized group, you can proably talk people into finding mutually acceptable locations.

Its what a 1-2 hours drive?

Hey Guys,

I too just found this thread. I am one of the regulars at Game Kastle. We have 2 tables reserved on Wednesday starting at 2pm. And every other Saturday we have 3 tables reserved.

There is a pool of about 6 players available on Wednesday and slightly more on Saturdays.

Hello,

I am a FOG-player-in-training, working on my first army (15mm Seleucids). I became interested in FOG after seeing the guys at GameKastle play. However I live in Paicifica and work in Pleasanton, so I rarely make it out to the south bay. Are you east bay people still active? I would like very much to find an East Bay group of FOGgers.
