The faces change

Post by Redpossum »

The faces change.

No, seriously, they do!

Look carefully at the Celtic warrior. Most of the time he looks like a younger, more handsome Jack Nicholson.

But then sometimes he changes to that sturdy blonde lad with the dark beard & moustache.

No, I am not losing my mind, the faces change! :)

Ave possum,

You're not wrong, I've seen it too.

I have often wondered who the faces are based on. I think that they're real faces, maybe the Slitherine team or their friends. Perhaps they would care to comment?

I also noticed that the faces are expressionless. It doesn't matter what they're doing their facial expressions never alter.
When you're pondering certain questions and you watch these little guys gyrating their way through their looped repertoires, you tend to notice things like that.

Is the game doing anything unusual? Do you have any bugs in your version of the game?

For example, my version of the game seems to run in slow motion. So my little guys are all performing "Moon walks" just like Michael Jackson. I have no problems with timed scenarios because the game clock is running in slow motion too. But "it's all relative", as someone famous once said. The troops and clock are both in slo'mo. I guess it's a memory thing??? I've never seen the game running at it's normal speed. That I would really like to see. As a knock-on side effect of slo'mo, the mouse pointer is also on slo'mo mode. There's a milli-second delay each time you use it. Very annoying! It sort of floats arounds and vital seconds are lost, it's very, very frustrating.

Does anyone else have any views on this topic? Any odd things you've spotted or maybe, experiences with Legion Arena that you would care to share with the rest of us?

Vale

For the slo-mo thing, knock the graphics down to minimum. If you have, get a more powerful computer. Thats about it AFAIK.

Ave sum1won,

Thanx for the input.

I will try out your suggestion.

AFAIK = as far as I know, yes?

So, what does LOL mean?

30-3-0, pretty impressive figures, sum1wun. Win-loss-draw, yes?

Vale

Win Loss Draw, yes. Unfortunantly, most of the people I play have only played a little before doing multiplayer.

It is as far as I Know, yes

Lol means laugh out loud, but people use it if anything is remotely amusing.

Even when nothing is remotely amusing. It has become a polite space filler. When you don't have anything to say, or don't know what to say, or don't have any comment but need to respond in order to show you are listening...LOL.
