Is it possible to make Commanders available to human players, to assign to their units, for MP scenarios?
Could Commanders become available if certain triggers are met, say a specific date occurs, or achieving an objective?

It is possible to add commanders trough a triggered event.
There is one problem with commanders in the editor. Besides possibility to add commander trough trigger there is an option to assign this commander to a specific unit on a triggered event. If this target unit option is used it results in a bug. Commander will be available on the right side of the screen ready to be assigned to some unit and in the same time this commander will be assigned to unit designer decided to assign it to. So practically commander is doubled. If it is reassigned from the unit while its clone is resting on the right side of the screen from that point on only one commander will be available and clone will disappear. If commander on the right side of the screen is added to some unit while the same commander is assigned to other unit (using target unit trigger) it can be reassigned normally but in an attempt to reassign commander that was assigned to a unit by a trigger it will fail to reassign stating how action cannot be performed because unit is out of supply despite the fact that it is fully supplied.
I have yet not found the way how to assign commander to a preplaced unit from the start of scenario nor how to assign commander to spawned unit. Anyone can shed some light is this even possible?

For assigning to a spawned unit, that's not really possible but you can create a reserve unit (select unit type, open unit list, click "add" button in top left corner), assign a commander to that by trigger and then use "deploy unit" instead of "spawn unit".

Checked again. It has unwanted behavior for me. Attached is Test Scenario containing the trigger. I needed to get rid of image preview and some event image to be able to attach it. In scenario select US infantry and capture silver flag for it to occur. Under Trigger tab in the editor script is under Silver VP trigger.adherbal wrote:I could not repeat this.
