Playing PC vs iOS via server

Not having played turn-based war games over the internet since Hasboro shut down the Axis & Allies servers, old high school friends of mine and I are getting back into it. A friend recommend we start playing this; and as it's offered both in iPad iOS and Windows version, we're assuming its possible to play different OS's against each other over the internet via Slitherine's game server?
