War in the East serial doesn't work on Steam

I got this sometime ago and it was in CD form. Got zero support from Matrix (as usual), hoping for a different experience here.

On the Matrix site I am registered with War in the East. I Merged the accounts here with my Matrix games account. Serial doesn't work on Slitherine site either. Tells me serial not found.

I was planning to buy War in the West but I'm going to pass if the serial numbers "expire".

support is better than on any main stream company, have you asked for support there?

if you have proof of purchase then contact support, they will deal with you and it will work, game works 99.9% on pc's with no issues, the .1 % is a known problem for the odd users who have broken codec's which has been explained to many or most anyway, if you have ever installed any codec packs or files etc, it may have damaged a odd codec file that the game needs and then to check if it is this, just renaming a sound file points it out 99.9% of the time, if it is it and not something else, then a simple codec repair tool fixes the problem and it's sorted for many.

to get key to work on steam if you bought it from matrix is contact them, they will sort it

so good luck, and contact support, as mods will see this, but it's you who will need to contact them, as if they don't know the problem, they can't help fix it

I'm sorry you are having problems with redeeming a key. I have tried searching for a support Helpdesk Ticket, but I cannot find a ticket. Do you know the ticket number you got when you contacted Support?

Regarding getting the game on Steam, you need to redeem a Steam key, as the serial for the stand-alone installer will not work in Steam. I can see you have the game registered to your account, so all you need to do is visit the below site to get the Steam key:

The game will be automatically registered in your account once you login with your Slitherine account username and password..
