BA Mac problem

Hi, I bought BA1 for Mac and I cannot get it to play. When I click on the icon in Launchpad, a box opens up with some graphic options and a smaller box on top asking if I want to upgrade. If I click no, both boxes go blank, the little rainbow wheel shows up and the game shuts down...will not start. If I click yes to the upgrade offer, the download starts but won't finish because it says 2 items are missing. Then the icon in Launchpad disappears and I have to start all over again with installing the game. Bottom line, I can't play the silly thing. Help! I have 2014 model Mac Mini with 8 GB of memory and Intel Iris graphics running OS X Yosemite. Thanks for any help.

Do you have the Steam or non-Steam version? For the non-Steam version you can grab the latest update from here:

I have the non-Steam version and that's the update that I've downloaded and it won't install.

But the most frustrating thing is I can't even get the base game to run. If I don't want the update, everything just shuts down.

Why won't it install? It's just a replacement .app file for the initially downloaded one. If you update to the latest version you won't get an update message.

When it's almost done installing, it stops with an error message that "2 Items are missing and cannot continue". But I can't even start the game without the update. If I press NO when it asks if I want to update, the game just shuts down.

It sounds like the update zip didn't download correctly.
