Frankly I don't remember. I went for decisive victory. The briefing seems a bit missleading. It seems to indicate 10 objectives = marginal, 10 objectives + HQ = decisive. But the marginal victory statement says 6 VP required.
So I'm really not sure. I would tell you but when I played it I achieved DV... I never tried going for a MV on this one.

Ok, played it for first time and got a panzer-beating in the jungle, so went for MV instead of all-out kamikaze DV-attempt. Will try again!

Looking over the map now, I am wondering if the splash screen has the wrong MV requirements.

Looking at the map, 6 for an MV sounds pretty basic compared to most PC scenario requirements for a map like that. And especially a "crescendo" end of DLC/final scenario. I am thinking it is really 10 and it was not corrected in beta testing. This is my guess. I was a player in the beta testing for this and don't recall the issue coming up/being tested.

Doing a little more digging: I just looked at the beta log, and at my saved old Word notes from 2012/2013. Don't see any discussion of this.

In fact, looking back also at the beta forum, it looks like not many testers got this far or played the scenario much. I got a DV on the 1st try and we (Uran21) focused on a lot of map/geography errors and terrain tile errors since the scenario went off OK. So maybe the MV requirements are indeed different and it was not caught.

I just did, and ptj63, sorry I am a bit slow, because it seems there is an error in this scenario.

For an MV, the editor states that more than 6 VH need to be in your possession on the final turn. So it seems you actually need to have 7. Oops.

Ah well - patience pays off I guess... who would have thought an error would have surfaced this late, gone unnoticed...

Use strategic bombers to defeat the British navy, and deplete their super tanks. I like to use about four of them for this.

Conserve your own navy and use it to support your ground forces advance along the coast, and a major victory is not that hard.

Had a relative easy DV - but I guess there is only one first time in which a scenario is played most real. Each consecutive time more surprises are gone...
