A couple of questions

Post by HobbesACW »

Hi folks, how can enemy destroyers move and shell my unspotted subs in deep ocean when all I seem to be able to do with mine is sit in place and use sonar - and then depth charge if I happen to spot one? Also - is there any way of taking out mines at sea without having to lose half a ship to do so?

Thanks,
Chris

1: If they happen to drive over it, they stop and get a chance to shoot at it. So don't park in the direction they will likely go :D
2: Support ships have the ability to remove mines. Takes a while though: They need to start the round next to the mine field you want to clear, and they remove only five points from it in each go.

Thanks InD. I'll get a support ship for this scenario in that case. For 1 though they are not driving over it - they just move a few hexes away from the sub and start shelling.

Cheers,
Chris

Is the sub on shallow water ( = not-submerged)?
