Error with update download

I get the following error when I attempt to update the game from the launcher. I replicated it twice. I received the same error when I attempt the 1.6.7 update. I had to update by downloading the patch from the posted link. Any ideas about what could be causing this error?

I had the same message a couple of times late yesterday evening, BST.
Finally got a connection early in the morning.

Once you have downloaded the file please unzip it. Run the extracted file to update the game.
