This is a savagely addictive game

Well done. The new game system is great - supply-lines related to zone-of-control really adds an extra factor over the old Panzer General system. I've been playing this game non-stop (except for work, and brief breaks for food and sleep - my wife hates this game :D ) since I bought it.

Thanks FOARP, glad to hear you're enjoying it :). (I think my wife hates this game too, for related reasons! :) )

Oh I like it very much, too.

One thing that is totally different than I am used to is how often I replay a scenario to try a new tactic or another approach. The scenarios also take much longer than in PzC.

I am getting slowly the hang of many different aspects of the game. The naval combat tactics e.g., or the different types of fighter (Interceptor/Dogfighter etc.) and so on. I also recently tried Engineers.

Any hints in which scenario I could make good use of "Raider" Marines? :)

I have used a Raider unit to destroy supply in the New Georgia scenario. I regret that I didn't use one in Guadalcanal, which in hindsight might have been the perfect place. The trick is to drive off the Japanese unit defending the supply hex, advance onto it and then the Raider can destroy the supply value.

I hope they never release a grand campaign for this similar to Panzer Corps. The last thing I need is an other game I spend so many hours that I can't even estimate how much time I got in total. Because I find OOB: Pacific very fun and addictive too. Thinking how much time I spent with PzC I'm scared.

Seriously, I bought Panzer Corps and each expansion and DLC pack immediately as they got released. Played and finished them all. When PzC got released on Steam I replayed all of them again multiple times for the achievements.
Steam tells me I spent 347 hours playing Panzer Corps at Steam.

I can definitely relate to this thread even though I've had quite limited time to play! Still getting my ropes together however, since I've never played PzC. WW2 themed board games are another story.

Just one more turn mentality is going to be perilous...
