Are the Campaigns Branching?

Post by monkspider »

Quick question for anyone who has had a chance to find out the answer to this. Is the campaign in this game branching or is there just one path that you go down? For example, as Japan if you lose at a certain battle, say, Midway, do you go down a different, more defense-oriented campaign?

No branching.

The developers have stated they opted for a "longer" campaign in favor of branching - I write that in quotes because the campaign still has only ~13 scenarios.
That said, it still feels quite long, due to lots of the later scenarios having 50 turns or more.

Feels too short for me hehehe down to the last campaign on both nation now.

Sadly i found no branching. Would love to plan a defensive war for Japan rather than invading Australia, dont seems right to me to use kamikaze if japan is winning hehehe

That, and Okinawa as Japan would be fun to play!
