Why can I not change the armament of my planes?

I'm playing the Leyte gulf mission and I had all my planes armed with bombs. When the Japanese fleet showed up I rushed all my planes back to the carrier to arm torpedoes. For some reason it won't let me arm torpedoes, even if they sit on the carrier for a turn or two. It has worked in other missions.

Anybody else having this problem? Am I missing something?

Happened to me as well - I think it's probably a bug.
The button to switch weapons is there, but it just takes one back to the carrier or airfield. Maybe the bug only happens on carriers? At least that's where I noticed it.

Thx for reporting, occured to me too yesterday; could change B5N2 Kanko landed on a carrier from torpedoes to bombs, but not back to torpedoes later.

Yep, looks like it's the same problem like switching aircrafts to kamikaze mode. Maybe a button problem, as the revert button to non-kamikaze worked during my quick test.
