Cavalry fortifications and pursuit

A cavalry unit assaults unit in the field fortification (through the open side as thats the only way this is allowed). It's likely to win as this is always a rear attack regardless of the facing of the unit in the field fortification. If it wins does the cavalry pursue? It's in contact with an obstacle I guess so..?

If infantry Loses to cavalry the infantry are destroyed so no pursuit, the cavalry are chopping down survivors or taking prisoners, so the would end where they are.
